Found this lovely thing on Hampstead Heath t’other day, overlooking the ponds.
A bench inscribed “here’s looking at you, George” and a fresh bunch of flowers (another cellotaph?).
Amazing how the absence of people affects us as much as the presence.
Not that I’m low or lovelorn or pining or anything. Quite the opposite.
But am much more aware nowadays of the presence or otherwise of others and my response to it.
Had a fantastic day at NESTA yesterday, met loads of really interesting people doing interesting things (with technology way beyond my ken) and had loads of interesting conversations (some of which will surface, I’m sure, in the next few weeks here). And a top evening out with my old friend Jay at a pub quiz that James is running in Islington (no, really).
